1119hrs- Bedford Communications alerted Company 1 to the 5000 block of East Lynchburg Salem Turnpike for a reported vehicle on fire that was being towed by a wrecker. Engine 1 (with four) arrived at 1126hrs to find the vehicle detached from the wrecker with heavy smoke showing from the engine compartment. E-1's crew quickly stretched the bumper line to extinguish the fire which was marked under control at 1130hrs. R-1 (with four) returned to service just after arriving on scene. Both units were back in quarters at 1200hrs. Total Company 1 personnel:9.
